We are committed to meet the heightening social demands for the safety and health, Hyosung TNC has established a safety and health management system that complies with both domestic and global standards.

Hyosung TNC actively promotes continuous improvement and preventive activities in the field of safety and health. We establish a specific action items based on its safety and health management policy and implementation strategies, regularly evaluates them, and aims to achieve its safety and health vision with a responsible attitude. In additon, we focus on enhancing and training, identifying and improving significant risks through risk assessments, and fostering a culture of safety and health that emphasizes practical implementation.

    Organizational System

    In compliance with the Serious Accident Punishment Act, Hyosung TNC has strengthened safety and health measures by appointing a Chief Safety Officer (CSO) directly under the CEO and organizing a dedicated safety and health department. Furthermore, the company conducts monthly safety and health meetings to share a key issues and best practices, continually improving safety and health management.

Promotion Activities

1Risk assessment

Identify hazards and risk factors, including working conditions, machinery, equipment, raw materials, work behaviors, and other harmful factors. Take a necessary measures to prevent safety incidents

2Workplace safety measures

Establish standards for managing locations within the workplace where there is a risk of falling, collapsing, falling objects, or other hazards. Periodically maintain, inspect, and make a necessary repairs

3Machinery, equipment, and facility safety measures

Take safety measures based on the functionality and characteristics of equipment and ensure they are maintained, inspected, and free from the potential hazards

4Occupational health prevention and promotion activities

Implement preventive and health measures necessary to prevent occupational health issues. Operate programs for preventing work-related diseases such as respiratory and musculoskeletal disorders, along with various health promotion programs

5Provision of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Provide suitable protective equipment for the work environment and enforce the mandatory use of protective gear. Ensure the availability and proper management of spare protective gear

6Safety and health diagnosis

Conduct safety and health diagnoses for workplaces with a high risk of accidents such as falls, collapses, fires, explosions, or hazardous material leaks

7Emergency response

Conduct ongoing training according to emergency response scenarios for various disaster situations. Periodically inspect the functionality of relevant equipment

8Hazardous substance management

Create a list of safety and health information for handling hazardous substances and make it available. Regularly measure and address physical and chemical hazards

9Support for supplier safety and health

Establish a supplier safety and health management system to enhance risk assessment. Strengthen accident prevention through on-site management, including supplier assessments, training, and consultations

10Accident investigation and statistical activities

Investigate the causes of accidents and develop measures for recurrence. Conduct a regular statistical analyses of industrial accidents and incorporate the findings into safety and health performance improvement goals
