Plastic products

Synthetic resins are used in various aspects in daily life to improve the quality of your life. Synthetic resins are widely used as a raw material not just for construction materials and components such as films, automobile parts, and pipes but also for household products that are closely related to our residential life, ranging from home appliances such as plastic containers, refrigerators, and TVs to furniture. As people’s interest in quality of life and the environment is increasing, demand for synthetic resins is also growing constantly.

Major Products

  • Polypropylene (PP)
    • Thermoplastic resin obtained by polymerizing propylene
PP has excellent tensile and impact strength, and good heat and chemical resistance
    • Homopolymer: Comprised of a single bond between propylene monomers, homopolymer is used for general purposes, such as home appliances and industrial components.
    • Block (impact) Copolymer: Made by giving impact resistance to a homopolymer, a block copolymer is used to produce products that require high impact strength, including automobiles and electric and electronic products.
    • Random copolymer: Made by giving transparency to a homopolymer, a random copolymer is used for packaging containers for food.
    Applications
Injection : Furniture, boxes, and outdoor chair
Yarn : Sacks, ropes, and fishing nets
Extrusion : Packaging film and pipes
Fiber : Carpets, diapers, and non-woven fabrics
  • PE(Polyethylene)
    • PE (Polyethylene): Polymer compound created by the polymerization of ethylene. Divided into low-density polyethylene and high-density polyethylene according to density.
    • High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE): Polyethylene with a density of 0.94 or higher. Used for pipes, chemical containers, etc.
    • Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE): Resin created by the polymerization of ethylene. LLDPE has excellent processability and transparency and is used for agricultural film, packaging film, wraps, etc.
    • Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE): Polyethylene with a density lower than 0.94. Mainly used for polyethylene packing and food packaging film.
    Applications
Injection : Furniture, boxes, pallets, etc.
Blow molding : Cosmetic containers, detergent bottles, etc.
Yarn : Fishing nets, sacks, tarpaulins, etc.
Extrusion(film) : Greenhouse film, plastic bags, etc.
Extrusion(pipe) : Portable water service pipes, sewer pipes, gas pipes, etc.
  • Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
    • Thermoplastic, also known as polyvinyl chloride or vinyl chloride resin.
    Applications
Pipes, cable sheaths, rubber gloves, wallpaper, etc.
  • PS/GPPS/HIPS
    • Polystyrene (PS)
    • General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS): Excellent transparency, heat resistance and colorability.
    • Suitable for food packaging.
    • High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS): Created by dissolving synthetic rubber onto a styrene monomer. Increased impact strength due to an added rubber content of 5 to 15%.
    Applications
GPPS : Disposable cups, transparent parts of home electronics
HIPS : Electronic appliances for homes, yogurt cups
  • Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)
    • Copolymer created by the polymerization of acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene.
    • Good surface gloss, excellent mechanical and electrical properties, and excellent chemical resistance.
    Applications
General ABS : Pipes, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, telephones, etc.
Flame retardant ABS : Monitors, copiers, OA devices, etc.
Transparent ABS : Computer peripherals, home appliances, toys, etc.
Heat resistance ABS : Automobile interior and exterior materials, housings of electric and electronic products, etc.
  • Expandable Polystyrene (EPS)
    • Resin created by expanding polystyrene with the application of a foaming agent.
    • White, lightweight, and excellent in water resistance, heat insulation, sound absorption, and shock absorption
    Applications
General Purpose EPS : Fish box, Grape box, electronics LCD package
Flame retardant EPS : Construction Block, Panel
  • Polycarbonate (PC)
    • Thermoplastic with a chain structure comprised of bisphenol A and phosgene
    • Engineering plastic with high impact strength
    • High heat resistance, good low-temperature properties, stable against light, and low oxidation during processing
    Applications
Optical Media : CDs, DVDs, etc.
Medical use : Syringes, lenses, etc.
Automotive : Head lamps, car tail lamps, etc.
Kitchen Goods : Food containers, microwave components, etc.
