Fertilizer and Other

Fertilizers are largely divided into organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers. Organic fertilizers are fertilizers made from decomposed plants or animals, and inorganic fertilizers are fertilizers commonly referred to as chemical fertilizers.

Major Products

  • Urea (Urea Fertilizer)
    • The formula of Urea formed by a white crystal is (NH2)2CO.
    • Nitrogenous chemical fertilizer produced by adding carbon dioxide to synthetic ammonia and then processing it under high temperature and high pressure conditions.
    • Urea is not easily absorbed into soil by itself, but the ammonia in the urea fertilizer is well adsorbed into soil after decomposition.
  • Amsul (UAN Fertilizer)
    • The full name of Amsul is Ammonium Sulfate of which molecular formula is (NH4)2SO4.
    • As a by-product of caprolactam, Amsul formed by white crystalline, contains 21% of nitrogen.
    Applications
    Agricultural : Raw material for single and compound fertilizers
    Industrial : Ammonia compounds, the fiber industry, the cellophane industry, etc.
  • Amsul (UAN Fertilizer)
    • The type of fertilizer in contrast to single fertilizers, NPK contains nitrogen (N), phosphoric acid (P), and potassium (K) which are engaged in germination, growth, and fruition of crops. As per the contents of N, P, or K respectively, the type of fertilizer is divided.
    Applications
    Horizontal type : The type of fertilizer with identical contents of N, P, and K. Can be used regardless of time, and the type of plant. e.g.) (14-14-14, 15-15-15)
    Mountain type : The type of fertilizer with low contents of N and K but with a high content of P. Used for grasses, ferns, and flowering trees. e.g.) (10-15-10)
    Valley type : The type of fertilizer with high contents of N and K, which easily disappear by dissolving in water. e.g. (15-5-20)
    Downward type : The type of fertilizer with a high content of nitrogen, which generates chlorophyll. Suitable for foliage plants, terrestrial plants, and trees. e.g.) (16-8-8)
    Upward type : The type of fertilizer with a high content of K, which strengthens roots and stems. Used for bulbous plants and root vegetables. e.g.) (12-12-17)
  • Caprolactam (CPL)
    • CPL is produced by synthesizing ammonia with the oxidized cyclohexane which is obtained by reacting benzene with hydrogen.
    • It is used as a raw material for nylon resin and nylon fiber (nylon 6), the latter of which is used as a raw material in the chemical fiber industry and the machinery and electronics industries.
    Applications
    Industrial use : Fishing nets, connectors for consumer electronics, etc.
    Packaging applications : Food packaging
    Textiles : Sports clothing, swimwear, carpets, umbrellas, etc.
  • TiO2
    • A white pigment in powder form, TiO2 has excellent hiding power and dyeing power and is very physically and chemically stable.
    • TiO2 can be divided into rutile and anatase by raw material, and it can be produced by two methods, the chlorine and sulfuric methods.
    Applications
    Paint, ink, plastic, paper, rubber, etc.
