Hyosung Research Institute was established in 1971 as Korea’s first research facility to be affiliated with a private company. From its research technology in the synthetic fiber field which fueled the industrial growth of Korea in the 1970s, Hyosung Research Institute has been expanding its field to chemical ingredients, chemical products, and new materials. Our Fiber Research Group is the leader in fiber technology including the world’s number one spandex and differentiated functional nylon/PET fiber with long-accumulated technology in polymerization/spinning/stretching/after-processing. We are also creating new products and production processes, putting forth our best efforts for immediate utilization.
